I am a colorist, restoration artist and technical consultant. My work is focused on ensuring creative intent through color grading, restoration, applied color science, and novel image processing workflows. I work primarily in the realm of documentary, but I also color feature fiction from time to time. A significant portion of my work is archival restoration for documentary. I use state-of-the-art tools like machine learning derived models and Python-based image processing tools to create beautiful looks, restore and upscale motion pictures and build custom image pipelines. I also develop image processing software and OFX plugins for customized workflows. I teach classes and give workshops in color grading, color management, workflow and cinematography at various universities and arts education institutions nationwide and online.
